Munnar is a town in the Western Ghats mountain range in India’s Kerala state. A hill station and former resort for the British Raj elite, it's surrounded by rolling hills dotted with tea plantations established in the late 19th century. Eravikulam National Park, a habitat for the endangered mountain goat Nilgiri tahr, is home to the Lakkam Waterfalls, hiking trails and 2,695m-tall Anamudi Peak.
Thirumoorthy Falls at Udumalaipettai is located at 10°27'22.4"N 77°09'41.2"E or 10.456229, 77.161450. Ideal time to visit this waterfall would be anytime between months November and June. It is situated 50 Kms from Pollachi and 23 kms from Udumalpet on the highway from Palani to Coimbatore
A good place for wildlife and nature lovers situated at about 50 km from Munnar. If you are lucky enough then you can see various animals, birds, reptiles and other amphibians. The management provides guards and guides with us. Timing is 8 am to 5 pm. Generally it will take 4-5 hours for the complete round of the sanctuary.. Nice place for photography.
